CHARLES V. SPRADLEY 93, of West Palm Beach died Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born and raised in Camden, SC, he moved to Miami, FL in 1925. He was a graduate of Stetson University and worked for the Miami Colonial Hotel, ViUa de Este Hotel, and the Whitman Hotel. After he served as Food Controller for Pan American World Airways. In 1955, he moved to Winter Park, FL and was the owner of a building specialties company until his retirement. As a member of the First Baptist Church of Winter Park, he was honored as a deacon emeritus. In 1988-89 1988-89 1988-89 he served as president of the Winter Park Kiwanls Club and was recognized tor leadership accomplishments as a "Distinguished Club President" from the Florida District of Kiwanis International. In 1989, he moved to Camden, SC, where he was active in Kiwanls and was selected as a delegate to the International Kiwanis Convention In 1990. He returned to Florida in 1997 and resided In West Palm Beach, where he attended the First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach and was a member of the West Palm Beach Kiwanls. Charles is survived by his sons, Jon Spradley and wife Ruth Nemec of West Palm Beach, FL, and Daryl Spradley and wife Peggy Pink of Longwood, FL; brother, Gordon Spradley and wife Doris of De Bary, FL; and his grandchildren Jon, Benjamin, Jeffrey, Kristen and Janelle. He was predeceased by his wives Florence Leondardl Spradley, Gypsy Wilson Spradley and Viola Hunnicut Spradley. A Visitation service will be held at ROYAL PALM FUNERAL HOME at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until time of services. The funeral service wlU be held at the First Baptist Church of Winter Park, FL at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, followed by an Interment at Palm Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon unll time of services.
