ANNUAL Florida State College, Tallahassee, March 12 Lucy Pope of Jacksonville will serve as president of the college government association of Florida State College for Women for the year 1932-33, according to the outcome of student elections just held. Vivian Dallett, of Miami, will edit the Flambeau, student weekly publication; Bonita Bailey, of Ocala, the Distaff, the college quarterly magazine, and Elizabeth Pierce, of West Palm Beach, the Flastacowo, the annual.

COUNTY A. COUNCIL MEETS TUESDAY Dr. Valeria Parker, of New York City, national social hygiene authority, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Palm Beach County Parent-Teacher council at the Palm Beach school auditorium, Cocoanut row. Palm Beach, Tuesday at 11 o'clock, and the public is invited to hear Dr. Parker's talk.

There will be no board meeting of the council Tuesday, but the regular meeting will begin at 10:30 o'clock with selections by the Palm Beach school orchestra. The business session of the council will be held at 12 o'clock and the annual election of officers will be held, A round table discussion of local problems will be held and reports of the outstanding work by local associations will be given. Prizes will be awarded for the narcotic educational essays. Luncheon will be served at 1 o'clock and those expecting to attend are requested to notify the school. Mrs. Ida Floyd White, honorary state regent, and a former national vice president general of the Daughters of the Revolution, was the honored guest at a delightfully informal tea given by members of the Seminole chapter, D. A. R. at the home of Mrs.

Sallie E. Ferris, Peruvian avenue, Palm Beach, Sat. urday afternoon. A quantity of roses and hibiscus was used about the house for floral decorations. During the afternoon Mrs.

White, who made a visit to the chapter as state regent four years ago, renewed acquantance with local members and made an informal talk on "Education and broadening the scope of education to meet present needs." She emphasized the fact that great opportunities are offered PAGEANT SCHEDULED AT HOLY TRINITY A pageant entitled "The Little Pilgrims and the Book Beloved," by Marie E. J. Hobart, will be presented this evening at Holy Trinity church in place of the regular service. The members of the two Young People's Service Leagues, under the direction of Mrs. Edith Merritt, have been preparing for some weeks for this presentation.

and Mrs. R. E. Byrum of Upland road, according to word received here Saturday from Brenau college, where she is a competitive scholarship student In the music department. Miss Byrum has just been elected to membership in the Lorelei club, undergraduate musical honor society, being one of 12 named at the spring election.

To achieve this honor a student must average 90 in major subjects, 80 in all others, have made at least two public appearances, be recommended by the faculty and voted on by two-thirds of the club membership, A member of the 1931 class of the Palm Beach high school, Miss Byrum won a four-year scholarship for Brenau and has achieved an enviable record there, both in her music and her scholastic work, and has made several public appearances as a violinist. ALPHA SIGMA PI FRATERNITY GIVING ST. PATRICK DANCE Members of the three chapters of the Alpha Sigma Pi fraternity in south Florida, the Zeta chapter of West Palm Beach, the Sigma champter of Miami and the Gamma chapter of Riverside Military academy, Hollywood, are giving a St. Patrick's dance at the Trianon ballroom at Fort Lauderdale Friday night, March 18, at 10 o'clock, and a number of West Palm Beach people are making plans to attend. Miss Marjorie Wagner and Richard E. Butte Are Married With Quiet Home Ceremony Miss Marjorie Wagner and Richard E. Butte, of Lake Ronkonhoma, Long Island, N. were united in marriage at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Jacob C. Wagner, 720 Penn street, at 12:30 o'clock Saturday, the Rev. C. K. Vliet, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating.

About 40' relatives and guests witnessed the quiet ceremony. The marriage vows were spoken before an improvised altar of palms, ferns, crotons and baskets of roses in the arch between the dining room and living room, a large white wedding bell being suspended over the bridal party. Miss Mildred Geer, pianist, entertained with a program of pre-nuptial music prior to the ceremony, her numbers including "Souvenir" (Karganoff), "Call at Reverie" (Heller) and "To a Wild Rose" (Mac-Dowell). The bridal party entered to the strains of the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin and following the ceremony Miss Geer played Men-edlssohn's Wedding March. Miss Elma Rohrbek, of Peekshill, N.

was the bride's maid. She wore an attractive afternoon frock of figured silk and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses. Charles A. Wagner, brother of the bride, was the best man. The bride entered on the arrtfof her father, by whom she was given in marriage.

The bride wore a lovely gown of white chiffon, with tight fitting bodice with a cape collar and long full skirt. Her bridal bouquet was of white rose buds and lilies of the valley. A wreath of orange blossoms was becomingly fastened about the head. Following the ceremony an informal reception was given by Mr. and Mrs.

Wagner in compliment to the bride and bride-groom. The dining table, which was covered with a handsome lace cloth, was centered with a tiered bridal cake, flanked on either side by tall candles. Refreshments were served by Miss Evelyn Wagner and Mrs. C. A.

Wagner, who also greeted the guests on arrival. Miss Lucille Dale was in charge of the bride's book. Mrs. J. C.

Wagner, mother of the bride, wore a charming gown in shades of brown, with a corsage of yellow rose buds. Mrs. Butte has made her home in West Palm Beach for the last eight years, coming here from Peekshill, N. Y. She was graduated at the Palm Beach high school with the class of 1931.

Mr. Butte, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Butte, of Lake Ronkonhoma, N. has spent the last several winters in this city.

He is in business with his father in Ronkonhoma and after a motor trip, which will take the couple through the caverns of Virginia, they will be at home after April 1 in Ronkonhoma, N. Y. Mrs. Butte wore a smart brown tweed suit with blue accessories for traveling. Trinity Church Service league in par Democratic Women at Hotel El Ve- York, -will lecture at Holy Trinity between 8 and 9 o'clock and cards will be played until a late hour with prizes for high scores at each table.

Refreshments will be served. The public is invited to attend. P. B. COUNTY FEDERATION OF WOMAN'S CLUB MEETS The quarterly meeting of the Palm Beach County Federation of Woman's clubs will be held at the Presbyterian church at Lake Worth, Tuesday at 10 o'clock with Mrs.

Fred Miller presiding. Mrs. Joe A. Youngblood, chairman of the educational department, will present the program, which will consist of talks by Mrs. Russell Wyeth, Mrs.

Robert M. Nevins, West Palm Beach, and Mrs. B. G. Barwick, of Pahokee.

Melvin Hibbs, of Lake Worth, will render a piano solo. The church is located on the Federal highway and Thirteenth street. Spring made her formal appearance at the Florida State College for Women on Saturday, March 12, when juniors and seniors blos somed out in gay colored frocks for the annual "prom" festivities. The junior-senior prom is the leading social event at the state college during the year and marks a day when girls in the upper classes can entertain their boy friends at the college in a truly collegiate style. Dances were given by the various sororities from 10:30 o'clock in the morning until 6 in the afternoon, while the prom last night in the college dining room served as a brilliant climax to the day's program of merry making.

The prom this year took the form of an aviator's ball and the room was decorated in red, white and blue. The lower dining room, where a buffet supper was served during the fourth and seventh dances, was arranged as a sailor's mess hall. Approximately 300 juniors and seniors took part in the prom festivities. Of this number seven were from West Palm Beach and included Imogene Carmichael, Martha Lauenborg, Nadene Purs-ley, Kate Lamar, Alice Kays, Mildred Hall and Ruth Tucker. LAS CONQUISTADORES HOLD MEETING A social meeting of Las Con-quistadores, a Palm Beach high school club, was held at the home of Bob Hellier, 1303 South Olive avenue, Friday night.

An illustrated talk on "New Mexico" was given by Miss Grace Oldham, who spoke on the customs and dress of the Mexican people. Refreshments were served during the social hour to Miss Carmela Attanasio, club sponsor, Miss Grace Oldham, Mr. Babcock, Mr. and Mrs. W.

R. Y. Games and dancing were enjoyed during the evening, after which a buffet supper was served. Cut flowers and potted plants were used about the house in decorating. Enjoying the evening with Mr. and Mrs.

Swaringen, Mr. and Mrs. Dee were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Drake, Mr.

PARKER TO SPEAK ON "SOCIAL HYGIENE" Dr. Valeria Parker, of New York City, national authority on social hygiene, will give a lecture on "Social Hygiene" at the Holy Trinity parish se Tuesday night at 7:30 o'clock under the auspices of the Palm Beach county council of Parent-Teacher associations and the Rotary club. The public is invited to attend. Dr. Parker's talk will not be long and those planning to attend other affairs Tuesday night will be able to do so.

F. S. Wilson, of Pros-pestty Farms, and has been employed as a stenographer at Kelsey City city hall. She is active in church work and is a past president of the Christian Endeavor society. Mr.

The program will be presented A SPONSORING BRIDGE DANCE THURSDAY Members of the Central Elementary Parent-Teacher association are sponsoring a bridge party and dance at the Embassy club, Palm Beach, Thursday night to which the public is invited. Bridge will be played from 8 to 10:30 o'clock and prizes will be awarded for high scores at each table. Guests are requested to furnish own cards. Dancing will be enjoyed from 10:30 to 2 o'clock and William Doherty's orchestra will furnish the music for dancing. Refreshments will be served.
